CMCU Telephone/Text Banking Telephone/Text Banking
     
 

Charlotte Metro offers two methods for banking on your telephone WITHOUT needing internet access. Of course, we also offer Mobile Banking, accessible through the internet to your smart phone or internet capable device. But for those members who want to use their cell phone to get quick easy CMCU account information without connecting through the internet, check out Telephone Banking and/or Text Banking.

Telephone Banking

It's as easy as pushing 1, 2, 3! Telephone Banking allows you to accomplish most of your banking needs using your push button telephone or cell phone without needing an internet connection. Check on account balances, activate or deactivate a credit or debit card, transfer funds between CMCU accounts, review your account history and more! Simply listen for the instructions and use the commands in the menu below. It's fast, easy and free! There's no enrollment, just call 704.375.0183, extension #1 and start banking.

Text Banking: 2CMCU(22628)

Text Banking gives you account information at the push of a button without needing an internet connection. Review balances on your checking, savings, and credit card accounts, get current transaction information and more. Text Banking is a free* service from Charlotte Metro Credit Union.

You must be enrolled in CMCU Online Banking and Mobile Banking in order to register for Text Banking. There is no charge for CMCU Online or Mobile Banking.

Register for Text Banking Click for easy steps
  1. Go to CMCU’s mobile banking site by clicking here: http://cmcu.mobi
  2. Click on Mobile banking
  3. Log-in using your online banking username and password
  4. Click on SMS Settings (Option 7)
  5. Choose Add a mobile number
  6. Click “Agree” to accept the terms and continue
  7. Enter the mobile phone number you wish to enroll
  8. You will receive a text message containing a verification code. Enter the code in the Verification Code box
  9. Receive your welcome text message and you’re all set

Menu Commands

MENU (Common Commands) Click for instructions

Displays a list of commonly utilized commands; will also respond to command (HELP)


BAL (Account Balances) Click for instructions

Displays the balance for all your products; will also respond to commands (B or BALANCE). To get balance for a particular product, follow the command with a space then S for Share or L for Loan and the product ID.


HIST (Recent Transactions) Click for instructions

Displays the last 5 transactions from all accounts; will also respond to commands (H, or HISTORY).  To get history for a particular product, follow the command with a space then S for Share or L for Loan and the product ID. You can also add a date range after HIST and a space formatting the date as MM/DD/YYYY-MM/DD/YYYY.


STOP(Deactivate Text Banking) Click for instructions

Text STOP to deactivate your SMS Service or text command (QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE). You can also do this within Mobile Banking at anytime.
