Student Advisory Board Student Advisory Board
Student Advisory Board

Charlotte Metro is committed to helping our emerging generations become financially literate and secure. We have partnered with three area high schools to establish credit union branches that are student operated. We offer eight scholarships each year to high school seniors who are pursuing higher education. Additionally, we have opened a new location on the UNCC campus to provide financial services to the collegiate community.

Charlotte Metro also recognizes that our youngest members can offer fresh perspectives on products and services that are relevant for today's cultural and economic climate. Because we want to effectively utilize the perception and vision of our youth, we have created the Student Advisory Board. The Board will be comprised of nine UNCC students who are selected from an application/interview process to provide insight into the financial needs of future generations. The board will have four sessions during the 2014-2015 school term to review and discuss credit union services.

We are looking for creative individuals with varied backgrounds to offer innovative ideas to create effective banking solutions. The Student Advisory Board will have the opportunity to meet with Senior Management and obtain an internal glimpse at credit union administration. We will also recognize Board members at our annual meeting in May of 2015.

If you have an interest in the banking/finance field, the Student Advisory Board is an excellent opportunity to obtain valuable experience in product development and business strategy. Applications will be available via our website from Tuesday, April 1, 2014 thru Sunday, September 7, 2014.
